Born into a third-generation family of musicians, I started guitar lessons at age nine with serious study beginning at age twelve.
I started playing professionally in a backing band at age sixteen.
This band backed artists live on stage with full charts and no rehearsals. Quite an experience. I learned a lot about the craft of music during this time.

Since then, I have gained over 30 years of experience in the music industry – including working as Musical Director for a multi-award winning stage show, arranger and session musician for various album projects, and teaching guitar throughout the school system here in Australia and also privately for students of all ages and skill levels.
Later receiving accreditation through the A.M.E.B – C.P.M. levels with high distinctions, I believe that the guitar should be studied in the right way and feel very fortunate to have had a great teacher along with wonderful friends, fellow musicians and mentors in the music industry.
